At Yeronga Vet Surgery, we pride ourselves with always searching for new ways to care for your pets especially where pain is concerned. Veterinary laser therapy provides a non-invasive, pain-free, surgery-free and drug-free treatment that is used to treat a variety of conditions and can be performed in conjunction with existing treatments. We are proud to offer laser therapy for your pets at our veterinary clinic.
The benefits of laser therapy can’t be overstated. It not only hastens healing, it actually improves the way tissue repairs and renews itself. In post-operative patients, laser treatments reduce the risk of complications.Lasers can reverse muscle atrophy and improve tendon and ligament strength and resilience. Range of motion, function, flexibility and mobility are all enhanced. In addition, the probability of re-injury is significantly less. Pets get back on their feet and return to normal activities faster.Patients don’t need to be sedated. No drugs are involved; there are no IV lines and no invasive clipping of hair or cutting into the skin.

Laser Treatment for Exotics
Laser therapy is effective across all species. Treatment protocol settings for exotic species have been a work in progress by the Companion Therapy veterinary clinical team as well as experienced exotic practitioners. Protocol settings for canine and feline patients in earlier laser therapy devices had to be adjusted for use in these smaller species. Consideration for the anatomic and physiologic differences in these exotic species led to further adjustments of treatment protocols.
The Klaser can be adjusted to deliver as little as 0.1 Watt. This allows you to treat pocket pets, reptiles, and avian species safely and efficiently by extrapolating the dosage based on the same standard guidelines.
